In Grateful Remembrance

During WWII my father was a young man. He landed on the shores of France and helped liberate Holland. From there he went up through Sicily and Italy. He was a tank driver. He never spoke of his experiences.

My father's brothers all enlisted, as did my mother's two brothers. Luckily they all made it back home safely to Nova Scotia.

Without their sacrifice, and the hundreds of thousands of others and those who didn't come home, we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today.

I remember, and am eternally grateful.
